Ghajini release held up

The release of the much awaited film of 2008 Ghajini has been held up by the court following the controversy of its copyright violation. The Madras High Court has given a stay order on the screening of the film worldwide. Ghajini was all set to release on 25th December but the film will be delayed now. A similar petition was moved in Bombay High Court too.Two days before the film release, KBC Pictures filed case against the maker of Ghajini for remaking the Tamil super flick as they have got the right to remake the flick long back. KBC Pictures claim that they are also producing a film titled Kahani Ghajini Ki, which has an Amitabh Bachchan twin in the lead. On the other hand, A Chandrasekharan also claimed every right of remaking and dubbing the film in Hindi and he sounded 'surprised, shocked and perplexed' as to how Geetha Arts and Murugadoss could give the rights of producing the film in Hindi to some other when they had not been given any rights for the same.
